A HUMAN-CENTERED APPROACH

All learning experiences are built upon one guiding principle - putting people first.

Business leadership has historically put the spotlight on performance, profitability, projects, status reports, deadlines and results. While these are all important elements of work, a human-centered approach puts people at the core so success happens with people, not despite them. Being human-centered embodies a mindset that creates a safe space for learning, communication and deep understanding of ourselves and each other so everyone can show up as their ‘best self’ to achieve desired outcomes in business and in life.

Anchors guiding this approach include:

  1. WHOLE PERSON COACHING: The belief that when you come to know, embrace, and express your whole self, you are positioned to thrive in any aspect of life. This builds upon a person-centered approach developed by Carl Rogers that every human being strives for and has the capacity to fulfill their own potential when working in an environment of acceptance, congruence and empathy.

  2. LEARNER-CENTERED FACILITATION: An empowering shift from traditional ‘teacher-centered’ education instruction (focused on the transfer of information) to a ‘student-centered’ approach of employing content to best enable learners to develop skills that are most applicable to their unique real-world situations.

  3. HUMAN-CENTERED DESIGN: An agile approach to creative problem-solving that puts people first throughout the process to drive impactful innovative solutions.
